The New York Achalayoga Foundation

Guiding Souls to Liberation Through Achalayoga A Path of Knowledge, Devotion & Karma
The New York Achalayoga Foundation is a non-profit spiritual organization dedicated to the teachings of Achalayoga—a path that integrates Veda, Vedanta, and Siddhanta for ultimate liberation from the cycle of births and deaths. Rooted in the wisdom of Achala Rishis, we emphasize steadfast devotion, self-purification, and the realization of the Absolute (Achala Paripurna Brahman).
Our foundation follows the enlightened teachings of Sri Vivekananda Agolu Sangayakhya Rajayogi and Sri Bodhananda Rapelli Ramachandrarya Rajayogi, carrying forward their mission of spiritual awakening and self-transcendence.

Guiding Light of Achalayoga
Guiding seekers towards the absolute (Kevalatma) and self-realization (Atma) through spiritual discipline, devotion, and scriptural wisdom by following Guru-Sishya tradition.
We strive to:
- Promote spiritual growth through meditation, self-discipline, and service.
- Foster universal brotherhood by transcending religious and cultural barriers.
- Uphold the teachings of Achala Rishis, encouraging seekers to experience higher states of consciousness.
- Enable self-purification, leading to liberation and inner peace.
The New York Achalayoga Foundation is dedicated to fostering universal brotherhood, mutual cooperation, and both material and spiritual growth for all of humanity. Our core teaching guides individuals toward liberation from the cycle of births and deaths and attaining eternal bliss—the ultimate goal of human existence.
Those who fully grasp the teachings of this Foundation will free themselves from all the illusions and misconceptions. A partial or superficial understanding of the universe cannot provide answers to life’s countless questions or free one from subjective and objective delusions. True mental stability cannot be attained through blind faiths or unscientific beliefs; instead, spirituality is essential. This deeper spiritual wisdom is rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, which embodies the essence of all the Vedas and all the Upanishads.
The Achalayoga Foundation is committed to sharing the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita across the globe.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita emphasizes that liberation from the cycle of births and deaths (sufferings of samsara) is the ultimate goal of human life which is one of the four Purusharthas. Four Purusharthas are 1. Dharma (Righteousness), 2. Artha (Wealth), 3. Kama (Desires), and 4. Moksha (Liberation). It outlines one and only one path, that is Achala Paripurna Rajayoga to achieve liberation, known as moksha. Those who deeply understand its teachings can transcend this cycle, while those with only partial knowledge remain bound by it. Unfortunately, some self-proclaimed gurus, lacking true traditional wisdom, mislead people with superficial rituals. This not only misguides the innocent but also distorts the authentic tradition. As long as such misinformation persists, people will continue to suffer. However, those who recognize the depth of Sri Mahayogi Brahmananda Sridhara Swami’s “Achala Siddhanta”—the essence of the Bhagavad Gita—will not be deceived by false teachers. Instead, they will seek out genuine spiritual guides and attain complete enlightenment.
True goodness lies in unwavering devotion to teachings that bring both worldly and spiritual benefits to all people, everywhere. Those who follow the principles of Achalayoga and its structured guidance will develop a deep appreciation for this “unshakable doctrine.” When a dedicated student learns these teachings from a true Guru and gains freedom from all kinds of illusions—realizing both existence (asti) and non-existence (nasti) — the Foundation’s mission is fulfilled.
Independent thinkers benefit from understanding and practicing this truth. In contrast, individuals influenced by superstitions often hold irrational beliefs that can lead to the acceptance of false theories.
To create a global spiritual community where individuals can embrace the principles of Achalayoga, realize their divine potential & beyond, and attain ultimate liberation (Moksha).

Our Approach
- Meditation, Self-Realization, Beyond & Absolute
We encourage deep meditation practices that connect individuals with their true essence, leading to self-awareness and inner peace. One has to know the absolute (kevalatma) and de-link from the Brahmanda to achieve the liberation.
- Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, & Jnana Yoga - Blended together harmoniously as a Unified Yoga, Achala Paripurna Rajayoga.
By knowing the ultimate reality, one has to perform the actions with devotion and detachment from Brahmanda.
- Scriptural Study & Wisdom Sharing
By studying and disseminating Vedic, Vedantic, and Siddhantic scriptures, we ensure spiritual enlightenment for seekers.
- Community & Seva (Service)
We believe in giving back to society through acts of kindness, charity, and holistic well-being programs.
